Soundscapes
These pages have been created for people to listen to the soundscape recordings I’ve made.
For a long time I’d been using recorded sounds in my music, but had very rarely recorded them myself.
My first project to make a large-scale collection of recordings from the environment was The Ouse Washes Project in which I aimed to create a portrait in sound of the Ouse Washes area, using recordings made at significant points along its length.
My second project was The Sutton Project. Most of these recordings were made in the village of Sutton-in-the-Isle, Cambridgeshire.
